Music is a vital part of the worship life at Wesley United Methodist Church. Choirs for all ages worship God through the singing of anthems and responses from diverse stylistic and historical origins reflecting the full range of the Church's tradition and mission. Choirs also take an active role in worship, leading the congregation through offering "hymns and psalms and spiritual songs" to God. Wesley choirs frequently sing outside the church sanctuary, offering the same gifts of worship to the community and the world.

The 25-member Chancel Choir sings for the 10:45 a.m. Worship Service each week. The Chancel Choir rehearses each Wednesday evening at 7:00pm (September through May). In addition to regular worship leadership, the Chancel Choir sings for all special seasonal worship services including Advent Lessons and Carols, Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Thanksgiving Eve.

Muscatine Children's & Youth Choirs
September - May

The Muscatine Children's and Youth Choirs were founded in 1998 as a community ministry of Wesley Church. The choirs now involve nearly 100 young people in 4 different choirs. All choirs offer young people in the Muscatine area an opportunity to develop their vocal talents and join with other musicians in making beautiful music. Besides the obvious musical training these young musicians receive, the benefits of singing in a demanding choir program are many: self-control and self-mastery, independent thinking, teamwork, service, analytical thinking, poise, confidence, focus, and discipline are but a few.

Wesley Winds

The Wesley Winds are Wesley's resident instrumental ensemble and play for worship regularly at the 10:45 pm worship service, as well as playing occasional concerts throughout the area.

Handbell Choir

The Wesley Handbell Choir offers worship to God through varied works from the handbell repertory, and enlivens congregational worship with creative accompaniments.
